Diāna + Jānis

As I`m shooting weddings in Alūksne less and less, the wedding of Diāna and Jānis was special – it allowed me to see Alūksne from a bit different perspective - especially the Temple Hill. I`ve been to some weddings in Alūksne where couples have decided on interesting ceremony venues, but the ceremony on the Temple Hill? I`ve never seen or even heard about such a thing till Diāna and Jānis brought it up!

Although this wedding took place in the middle of the summer, forecast promised a rainy day. All these years shooting weddings I`ve had a joke about my lucky raincoat which I always bring along with me to all the weddings – and with that I haven`t experienced any rain on any wedding day. Well, the “magic spell” was broken with this wedding – at the time we were ready to start the photoshoot, a rainy storm started. Good thing we successfully managed to take a few portraits right after the ceremony while we went from Temple Hill to the Cafe “Sala”.

We`ve already met with Diāna and Jānis prior to the wedding, in a photoshoot. Needless to say that I`m always so happy to see my photoshoot couples in such beautiful events and I`m very grateful for the trust!
